Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Collector to join their team. This role will focus on collections and follow-up on $18M in outstanding revenue, with an emphasis on quality by resolving root-cause issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the collection efforts for a significant backlog of $18 million in outstanding revenue, some of which dates back 5 years.
• Conduct thorough research on unpaid accounts to identify why they remain outstanding.
• Contact insurance carriers to resolve complex denials and facilitate payment on aged claims.
• Perform necessary billing updates and corrections discovered during the collection process to ensure clean claim submission.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of the whole revenue cycle, including how billing and cash posting impact collection success.
• Demonstrated skill in investigating root cause issues that prevent claims from being paid.
• Proven experience specifically in a medical collections or healthcare AR follow-up environment.
• Transitional Rehab or Specialization in Activating Claims is preferred.
• Experience in the whole revenue cycle, specifically mentioning cash or billing is preferred.
• Inpatient/outpatient setting experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

Hybrid work schedule: 3 days in office and 2 days at home after a 1–2 week in-office training period. Regular work hours are M-F, 8am-5pm.
