Job Summary
The Nurse Manager provides professional nursing care as a Registered Nurse (RN) while overseeing and managing nursing staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional nursing care independently within your licensure scope and in compliance with state regulations, DDD, NJ Department of Health, NJ Department of Education, CARF, JCAHO, HIPAA, and Bancroft policies.
- Review and accurately transcribe physician orders into medical records.
- Conduct on-site program visits to ensure the health, safety, and overall care quality of persons served. Identify potential issues and take appropriate actions to resolve them, documenting findings thoroughly.
- Monitor health needs, provide interventions, and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed. Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with nursing leadership.
- Regularly review medical charts to ensure accurate documentation, adherence to physician orders, and the highest standard of care.
- Administer first aid and emergency medical treatment as required.
- Review lab and test reports, consult with healthcare providers when necessary, and document relevant information in medical records.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey required.
- Nursing degree and/or certification in Case Management, Developmental Disabilities, Brain Injury, or as a Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN).
- Minimum of 2 years of general nursing experience; 3+ years preferred.
