Primary Care Physician (Family Medicine)
Location: Welch, MN
Schedule: Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Compensation: $270,000 – $320,000
Seeking a compassionate Primary Care Physician to join a collaborative clinic in Welch, MN. This full-time role offers a 4-day workweek with no weekends, evenings, holidays, or after-hours call, allowing physicians to focus on delivering meaningful patient care while maintaining excellent work–life balance.
This opening comes as a result of the retirement of a long-tenured physician, creating an exciting opportunity for a provider who values relationship-based, patient-centered medicine.
Position Overview
The physician will provide comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, including preventive services, chronic disease management, and acute care. The clinic operates in a patient-centered model that prioritizes quality care and long-term relationships over RVUs or quotas, allowing physicians to practice medicine the way it was intended.
Appointments are designed to support thoughtful care with 30- and 60-minute visits, conducted both in person and virtually.
Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive primary care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients

Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions

Deliver preventive care, wellness visits, and patient education

Document visits accurately using Athena EMR

Collaborate with clinic staff and on-site pharmacy to coordinate patient care
Practice Details

4-day schedule: Monday–Thursday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (No weekends, evenings, holidays, or after-hours call)

30–60 minute patient visits to support high-quality care

1 hour of administrative time built into each day

On-site pharmacy (does not dispense controlled substances)
Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited institution

Active and unrestricted medical license

Board Certified in Family Medicine preferred (non–board-certified physicians may be considered)

Strong communication skills and commitment to patient relationships
