Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Pediatric Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) who plays a crucial role in changing lives by working under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The RBT supports children through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, helping them build key life skills and overcome behavioral challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow personalized treatment plans designed by a BCBA, focusing on teaching important skills and reducing behaviors impeding learning.
- Work one-on-one with children, building trust and offering positive reinforcement as they work on goals related to communication, social skills, daily routines, and more.
- Carefully collect data during sessions to track progress and facilitate necessary plan adjustments.
- Guide children in learning social interaction, daily living, and early academic skills at their own pace.
- Utilize proven strategies to manage challenging behaviors and replace them with more helpful alternatives.
- Collaborate closely with BCBAs and other professionals to ensure each child receives optimal support.
- Maintain organization and accuracy with documentation to measure growth and stay on track.
- Adhere to the RBT Code of Ethics, including maintaining confidentiality and seeking guidance when necessary.
Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification (required).
- Experience working with children, ideally in a behavioral or educational setting.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with both children and parents/caregivers.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm during challenging situations.
- Basic understanding of behavior management strategies and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Ability to follow detailed therapy plans while keeping accurate session notes.
- Flexibility to work in-home and adapt to family routines.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).

Additional Requirements
- Ability to work various shifts: M-F 5pm-7pm.
