Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager responsible for overseeing day-to-day activities including management of the site maintenance program and facilities-related projects. The manager will execute facility services projects, lead and influence cross-functional teams, and implement corporate lean initiatives through reliability engineering and predictive maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site maintenance and facility-related projects.
- Execute facility services projects in compliance with cGMP, GDP, EHS, OSHA, Life Safety, and applicable building codes.
- Assist with technical support on Engineering projects and Capital Plans.
- Support manufacturing operations to ensure the facility meets production requirements.
- Interact closely with Manufacturing Ops, Engineering, Quality, and Validation teams.
- Evaluate and repair site-wide equipment and systems within GMP areas.
- Ensure manufacturing equipment, plant utilities, and facilities operate within specifications.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, medical devices, or related industry.
- 8+ years in cGMP facilities management (WFI, CDA, HVAC).
- 5+ years of experience overseeing capital projects & biannual facility maintenance shutdowns.
- 5+ years managing facility and maintenance teams.
- Greenfield/Brownfield site or facility expansion construction and startup experience.
- Facility startup and CQV experience.
- Experience interacting with FDA during inspection and audit.
Skills
- Sterile fill finish manufacturing and/or Drug Product Ops experience.
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and utility equipment knowledge.
- Facilities design, building, maintenance, and management leadership.
- Automation, PLC controls & instrumentation experience.
- HVAC, air handling units, refrigeration, and cleanroom knowledge.
- General repair skills: Painting, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical.
- SCADA, PCS, BMS, BAS & EMS systems experience a plus.
- Ability to read/interpret engineering and system drawings.
