Job Summary
As a Certified Medical Examiner with our client, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive DOT physicals, interpreting FMCSA medical standards, and accurately completing and signing necessary medical documentation. Your role will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and provide education to drivers regarding health management for chronic conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive DOT physicals, including vision, hearing, blood pressure, and urinalysis screenings.
- Interpret FMCSA medical standards and guidelines to determine a driver's medical fitness for duty.
- Accurately complete and sign the Medical Examination Report (MER) Form and Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Ensure all exam results are uploaded to the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) by the required deadline.
- Advise drivers on health management regarding chronic conditions to help maintain their certification.
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted license as a PA, or NP in the state of practice.
- Current and valid certification on the FMCSA National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners.
- Deep understanding of 49 CFR 391.41 (Physical Qualifications for Drivers).
- Preferred skills in DOT/CME.

- Strong knowledge of relevant medical regulations and guidelines.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Monday-Friday: 7am-3pm
