Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to manage onsite health and safety programs. The primary responsibilities include treatment of onsite injuries, conducting employee medical surveillance, and administering pre-employment screenings. The role requires collaboration with safety coordinators to enhance workplace health and wellbeing, driving improved health outcomes and business performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Treatment of onsite injuries and referral for further medical care as needed.
- Case management for injured workers and facilitation of their return to work.
- Medical surveillance including annual audiograms, spirometry, vision screening, and lead testing.
- Conduct pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and coordinate medical exams.
- Participate in ergonomics assessments and job hazard analyses.
- Administer the Drug and Alcohol program according to company policy.
- Train employees in First Aid and CPR/AED as Medical Responders.
- Conduct trainings on Bloodborne Pathogens, Hearing Conservation, and other safety topics.
- Advise on Workers’ Compensation claims as needed.
- Handle FMLA Administration.
- Maintain HIPAA compliant documentation.
- Deliver agreed regional health metrics and outcomes.
- Purchase supplies for the first aid clinic.
- Meet site budget expectations.
- Improve health outcomes by managing workplace health risks and advancing employee wellbeing.
- Work with Safety Coordinators to prevent workplace injuries.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Preferred experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, ER, or Med Surg.
