Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include providing accurate charting, professional communication, and supporting various departmental roles such as scheduling and rooming patients. The Medical Assistant should demonstrate flexibility in working hours and convey a caring demeanor in interactions with patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and sufficient charting.
• Listen, provide direction, and relay information professionally.
• Work full-time and be flexible with varying hours.
• Function in multiple positions within the department (e.g., phones, scheduling, rooming).
• Maintain a warm, caring, and approachable demeanor towards patients and colleagues.
• Collaborate well with others and adhere to workplace rules.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Some experience as a Medical Assistant (MA).
• Problem-solving and clinical experience.
• Ability to administer injections and perform EKGs.
• Proficiency in taking manual blood pressure.
• Injection training.
• Maintain a positive attitude.
• Preferred: Experience with EPIC software.

Additional Requirements

• Metrics to be met include accurate documentation, compliance with infection control, and effective patient flow.
• Primarily work with an internal medicine patient population aged 18 and up.
• Work schedule: Mostly 7:45 am to 5 pm, with occasional late nights until 6 pm on Tuesdays.
