Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Principal Investigator to serve as the medical and scientific lead for clinical trials conducted at the research site. The role involves ensuring subject safety, protocol compliance, data integrity, and regulatory adherence while providing comprehensive medical oversight throughout the conduct of clinical studies. The ideal candidate is preferably a board-certified neurologist or a board-certified physician in internal medicine or family medicine with relevant clinical research and patient care experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Principal Investigator of record for assigned clinical trials.
• Provide medical oversight and clinical decision-making for study participants, including managing comorbid conditions.
• Ensure trials are conducted in compliance with ICH-GCP, FDA regulations, IRB requirements, and sponsor protocols.
• Perform or supervise study-related clinical assessments as required by protocol.
• Review and assess adverse events, serious adverse events, and safety data, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Lead and collaborate with sub-investigators, study coordinators, and site staff.
• Participate in site initiation visits, monitoring visits, audits, and inspections.
• Communicate effectively with sponsors, CROs, and regulatory authorities.
• Maintain accurate and complete source documentation and regulatory files.

Qualifications

• Board-certified physician (MD or DO); neurology preferred, but internal medicine or family medicine acceptable.
• Demonstrated clinical experience with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
• Strong, broad medical management skills appropriate for overseeing complex patient care in a research setting.
• Previous clinical trial experience (preferred).
