Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to deliver high-quality patient care and support in a dynamic ambulatory care environment. The role involves a combination of clinical duties and administrative tasks, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering the best outcomes for patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Care & Support: Greet patients, take vital signs, perform medication reconciliation, and room patients.
- Clinical Duties: Perform phlebotomy, collect specimens, conduct EKGs, spirometry, and point-of-care testing.
- Procedure Assistance: Assist providers with in-office procedures and act as a chaperone.
- Administrative Tasks: Document in Electronic Health Records (Epic), handle scheduling, referrals, and obtain prior authorizations.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Current BLS certification.
Experience
- CMA experience is required.
Skills
- Technical skills: proficiency in EPIC.
- Soft skills: excellent communication and teamwork.
Schedule / Shift
Monday-Friday 7am-4pm with rotating weekends, totaling 40 hours per week.
