Job Summary
Our client is seeking a CAD Drafter/Designer to join their team. The candidate will be responsible for developing and managing 3D models for various systems using multiple vendor platforms and CAD/BIM tools. The role involves producing, updating, and maintaining diagrams, as well as generating and revising models to support structural and architectural designs. Collaboration with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts is essential, with a strong focus on prioritizing safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage 3D models for equipment, process skids, and full facility layouts.
- Produce, update, and maintain Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Generate and revise coordinated 3D models and 2D construction drawings.
- Translate engineering inputs into fully detailed and constructible piping designs.
- Update and refine 3D representations as designs evolve.
- Prepare mechanical drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Perform on-site walkthroughs for accurate as-built documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve design conflicts.
- Design systems for facilities involved in medical isotope production and processing.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated proficiency using AutoCAD (Plant 3D toolset desired) and/or Revit.
- Familiarity with Drafting and Design Standards.
- 3 to 5 years of recent design experience.
Skills
- Technical: AutoCAD, Revit.
- Soft skills: Collaboration, problem-solving.
Schedule/Shift
Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
