Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Cash Applications Manager to efficiently manage and process credit card, insurance, client, lock-box payments, Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA), and Original Character Recognition (OCR) insurance payments and denials. The role requires evaluating payer remits and denials for precise posting and potential transfers to patient receivables, evaluating the accuracy of reimbursement relative to contractual requirements, and determining adjustments or patient liabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in processing all forms of payments and denials.
• Evaluate payer remits for accurate posting and potential transfers.
• Read and understand EOBs along with denial codes.
• Post payments, denials, and adjustments in accordance with departmental policies and goals.
• Research and resolve missing, misdirected, and unidentified payments.
• Track and maintain balances of unidentified accounts and prepaid accounts.
• Interpret and resolve written correspondence involving financial transactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ years of experience in revenue cycle management (billing, A/R, Cash Posting, Refunds, etc.).
• Ability to read and understand EOBs and denial codes.
• Experience posting denials and PLVs is preferred.
