Job Summary
Our client is seeking a meticulous Credit Balance Specialist responsible for analyzing overpayments to patient accounts, conducting in-depth research on payment histories, and executing correct financial transactions for refunds or corrections. The specialist will ensure accurate management of credit balances in alignment with healthcare policies, insurance regulations, and organizational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze overpayments and conduct detailed research on patient account payment history.
- Process appropriate financial transactions for refunds or corrections.
- Ensure accurate handling of credit balances according to healthcare policies and insurance regulations.
Qualifications
- At least five (5) years of experience within a hospital business office or a medical-related administrative role is preferred.
- Intermediate computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge or experience with a variety of healthcare insurance payers is preferred.
Experience
- 5 years in healthcare or medical-related administrative roles.
Skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
- Monday-Friday schedule with options of 8am-5pm or 7am-4:30pm.
- Fully remote role after 30 days of onsite training.
