Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled Collections Administrator responsible for managing collections on health claims for durable medical equipment, ensuring accounts are resolved efficiently, and meeting or exceeding departmental productivity standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Collecting on health claims for DME (durable medical equipment)
- Manage a monthly aged trial balance
- Handle a larger workload while meeting personal and team collection goals
- Exceed departmental productivity standards consistently
- Create and submit appeals to resolve denials from payers
- Identify and recommend payer contracting opportunities
- Recommend updates to Payer Guideline Manual
- Prepare and submit secondary claims to insurance companies
- Complete duties and special projects as assigned
- Meet productivity targets of 45 a day for online-heavy accounts and 30-35 a day for phone-heavy accounts with a quality score of 93%
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of medical collections experience
- Strong performance in cash collections and professionally overcoming objections
- Knowledge of national payers processes and billing requirements
- Knowledge of denial resolution, including technical and medical necessity appeals
- EMR experience
- Preferred experience with DME collections and Oracle (EMR)
- Experience with United Healthcare AR is preferred
Additional Requirements
Flex schedule available, working remotely with occasional onsite office presence required for training and large team meetings. Initial training will be in-office from 8am to 5pm.
