Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse to conduct medical history and physical assessments, promote health, and prevent illness. The ideal candidate will educate team members on communicable diseases and wellness, uphold ethical standards, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and recovery. Quick response to incidents and emergencies, including providing first aid and CPR, is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct medical history and physical assessments to promote health and prevent illness.
- Provide education and guidance to team members on communicable diseases and wellness initiatives.
- Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and ethical practice.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure team members’ safety and recovery.
- Respond quickly to incidents and emergencies to provide first aid and other emergency care, such as CPR, as needed.
- Occasionally travel to local clinics or hospitals.
Qualifications
- Current unrestricted state license as a Registered Nurse (RN). Newly licensed nurses are welcome to apply!
- Basic Life Support certification
Experience
- 1+ years of nursing experience preferred, but not required.
- Occupational Health experience is not required.
Skills
- Basic computer skills and comfort with electronic medical documentation.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to get along with others.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to walk unassisted through the plant, quickly respond to medical emergencies, climb stairs, assess team members swiftly, and perform CPR if required.
