Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to support their fast-paced medical practice. The primary responsibilities include assisting with clinical tasks, patient documentation, and facilitating smooth operations in a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Rooming patients, chart preparation, and taking vitals.
- Performing A1c's, urine dips, point-of-care testing, injections, minor wound care, and suture removal.
- Conducting physicals, pap smears, specimen processing, and ear lavage.
- Occasionally performing EKGs and updating demographics into the Athena EMR system.
- Maintaining reliability, punctuality, and a high standard of attendance.
- Working under the supervision of the practice manager and acting as the TC approver.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role, non-negotiable.
- MA Diploma or CMA certification required.
- Athena experience is highly preferred.
- Bilingualism and experience in primary care or surgery are a plus.
Skills
- Proficient in using Athena EMR system.
- Bilingual abilities preferred.
- Strong ability to multitask and learn quickly.
- Receptive to feedback and able to take the initiative.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Requirements
The position requires wearing solid dark-colored scrubs as part of the dress code.
