Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant to support their fast-paced medical practice. The primary responsibilities include assisting with clinical tasks, patient documentation, and facilitating smooth operations in a busy healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Rooming patients, chart preparation, and taking vitals.
• Performing A1c's, urine dips, point-of-care testing, injections, minor wound care, and suture removal.
• Conducting physicals, pap smears, specimen processing, and ear lavage.
• Occasionally performing EKGs and updating demographics into the Athena EMR system.
• Maintaining reliability, punctuality, and a high standard of attendance.
• Working under the supervision of the practice manager and acting as the TC approver.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role, non-negotiable.
• MA Diploma or CMA certification required.
• Athena experience is highly preferred.
• Bilingualism and experience in primary care or surgery are a plus.

Skills

• Proficient in using Athena EMR system.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.
• Strong ability to multitask and learn quickly.
• Receptive to feedback and able to take the initiative.
• Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements

The position requires wearing solid dark-colored scrubs as part of the dress code.
