Job Summary

Medix is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mammography Technologist to join our clinical team at a premier outpatient facility in New Jersey. This role is ideal for a clinician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to providing high-quality diagnostic care. You will be utilizing state-of-the-art Hologic and Fuji equipment to perform screenings and diagnostic examinations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammography examinations using Hologic and Fuji equipment.

• Manage a standard patient volume, including 15-minute screening appointments and 20-minute diagnostic examinations.

• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process, adhering to all radiation protection standards.

   

• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records within the facility's digital information systems.

• Collaborate with the radiology team to ensure an efficient and orderly flow of patients.

• Provide clear instructions and support to patients, many of whom may be experiencing anxiety regarding their results.

   

• Note: This role does not involve assisting with biopsies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Certification: ARRT Registered with Mammography certification (M).

   

• Licensure: Current and valid New Jersey Radiologic Technologist license.

• Basic Life Support: Current AHA or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification required.

Preferred Skills

• DEXA Experience: Previous experience performing bone density (DEXA) scans is a significant plus.
