Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Ambulatory Services Representative responsible for managing front desk operations, including greeting patients, verifying information, scheduling appointments, and handling payments. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring an organized clinic flow and excellent patient interactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients at the front desk
• Verify patient demographics and insurance information
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments
• Answer incoming calls and route messages appropriately
• Collect co-pays and process payments
• Manage patient registration and intake forms
• Communicate wait times and clinic flow updates to patients
• Coordinate referrals and authorizations as needed
• Document patient interactions in the EHR
• Support clinic staff with administrative tasks
• Maintain front desk organization and patient confidentiality

Qualifications

• 6 months of Healthcare Customer Service experience required
• Insurance knowledge (HMO, PPO, EPO)
• Experience with patient collections, such as copays and deductibles
• Epic Experience
• Preferred: Bilingual (Spanish)

Additional Requirements

Must be open to working all three shifts if seeking permanent conversion:

• 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
• 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 8:15 AM - 5:15 PM
