Job Summary
Medix is seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technologist for a travel assignment at a prestigious outpatient radiology practice with over 50 years of service in the community. As a travel clinician with Medix, you will partner with our client's dedicated imaging team to provide high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services to a specialty-focused patient population.
This role offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend requirements, allowing for an excellent work-life balance while you explore a premier clinical environment in New York.

Length of Assignment: 13–26 Weeks
Schedule: 4x10-hour shifts | Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Rotating days off; No Weekends)
State License Needed: New York State License
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of ultrasound examinations, specializing in Abdominal and OB/GYN studies.
- Prepare patients for exams by explaining the process and assisting with positioning.
- Select appropriate transducers and adjust equipment settings to ensure optimal image quality and depth of field.
- Accurately enter patient data and test results into the ultrasound equipment and EHR systems.
- Monitor ultrasonic patterns in real-time and capture permanent diagnostic records (magnetic tape, film, or digital disk).
- Maintain equipment according to clinical specifications and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Certification: ARDMS (Ultrasound specialty training certification) required.
- Experience: Proficiency in Abdominal and OB/GYN imaging is required.
- Life Support: Active BLS training.
- Licensure: Valid New York State license (or eligibility to obtain).
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience in Vascular ultrasound is a significant plus.
- Strong communication skills for patient education and clinical collaboration.
