About this role:

Seeking a detail-oriented Registered Nurse to join the Advanced Urgent Care team. This positon requires experience in providing skilled nursing services, performing patient assessments, and implementing plans of care in a fast-paced environment. Locations: Columbus, Ohio

Shift: 3 12's; rotating days including two weekend shifts per month

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of nursing experience minimum (Urgent Care, ED/ER, or Walk-in clinic experience preferred).
• 1 year of experience in independent triaging minimum. Experience needs to be at least within the last 2 years.
• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (ASN or BSN) and valid state licensure.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in EPIC EMR, medical equipment for EKGs, and orthopedic splinting (ortho glass).
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of chief complaint assessment, fluid line starts, lab processing, and patient education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider.
• Collect patient health data and analyze findings to determine diagnoses and expected outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care and evaluate patient progress toward goals.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, sharing responsibility for patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Perform professional nursing work including starting lines for fluids, EKGs, labs, and suture removals.
• Provide patient and family health education and comprehensive health assessments.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment while rotating between outpatient care locations as needed.
• Identify and resolve patient care discrepancies in a timely manner.
