Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Billing Specialist to join their dynamic team. The primary responsibilities of this role include managing billing claims, reviewing coding and claim information, and ensuring all billing processes comply with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with practices throughout the US to access systems and manage claims.
- Review coding, demographics, and claim information prior to filing.
- Collect and review referrals and pre-authorizations.
- Prepare and document billing for medical procedures and services.
- Resolve billing discrepancies and perform electronic claims filing.
- Communicate with clients regarding billing questions and concerns.
- Investigate insurance claims and communicate findings with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent.
- 3 or more years of experience managing billing claims in a dental or oral surgery setting required.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and industry-specific policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, SharePoint, MS Teams, and healthcare billing software systems.
- Organization, time management, and prioritization abilities.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain the security of patient or customer information.
Experience
- 3 or more years of experience in managing billing claims in a dental or oral surgery setting.
Additional Requirements
- Must meet company productivity measures and standards during normal work hours.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare or dental industry best practices.
Schedule/Shift
M- F 8am-5pm Onsite
