Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join their team. The role involves administering therapeutic exercises, educating patients and families, and supporting post-operative care. The position requires attentive monitoring of patient progress and application of therapeutic modalities.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Clinical Treatment: Administer therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, including joint and soft tissue mobilization.
- Post-Operative Care: Focus on rehabilitation for ACL reconstructions, rotator cuff repairs, total joint replacements, and spinal surgeries.
- Patient Education: Instruct patients and families on body mechanics, home exercise programs, and activity modification.
- Progress Monitoring: Observe patient responses to treatment, adjust intensities, and report significant changes.
- Modalities: Apply therapeutic modalities like ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy, and traction.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA or equivalent).
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Experience in Orthopedics preferred.
Schedule / Shift
M-F - Patients are seen from 7am-7pm, schedule depends on appointments.
