Nurse Practitioner Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage the comprehensive medical needs of patients. Responsibilities include performing physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and maintaining clinical documentation in an electronic health record. Additional duties involve patient education, peer reviews, and participation in administrative meetings.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic assessments.
• Prescribe medications, including controlled substances, as per regulatory guidelines.
• Document clinical findings in electronic health records.
• Provide patient education and refer to community resources as necessary.
• Participate in on-call rotations and peer reviews.
• Engage in professional development and administrative activities.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited School of Nursing and completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program.
• 3+ years of professional nursing experience required.
• Possession of Indiana State Registered Nurse license, Advanced Practice certification/licensure, CSR, and DEA license.
• CPR Certified.

Experience

• 3+ years in professional nursing experience.
• Experience in a clinic setting preferred.

Skills

• Ability to perform detailed health assessments and administer medications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Requirements

• Flexibility to work occasional weekends or after hours if necessary.
