Job Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced Front End Manager specializing in insurance collections. The role requires managing day-to-day collections responsibilities, handling appeals and denials, and working with various insurance providers including Medicare, Cigna, Humana, and Med Advantage. The candidate will need to meet specific metrics and work with a high volume of accounts efficiently.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Manage insurance collections, including handling appeals and working on denials.
- Avoid full-cycle collection processes; focus on strict collections roles.
- Tackle common issues such as medical necessity denials or lack of authorization.
- Handle a mix of payor accounts, ensuring effective collaboration and resolution.
- Touch 50 accounts per day and participate in monthly audits to ensure quality and quantity goals are met.
- Participate in a comprehensive 2-week training followed by ongoing training with managers and directors.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of healthcare collections experience, specifically in insurance collections.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, with testing to verify skill level.
- Experience with appeals and denials, demonstrated clearly in professional background.
- Knowledge of CMS-1500 and experience in working with large payor mixes is required.
- Lab and Xifin genetic testing experience is a plus.
Skills
- Strong technical skills in Excel.
- In-depth understanding of the denials and appeals process.
- Ability to work with a centralized business office in a strict collections role.
Schedule / Shift
Shifts can start as early as 6 AM PST, following an 8-hour schedule. Start times must remain consistent, with training initially between 6 AM - 7 AM PST, allowing flexibility up to 8 AM PST thereafter.
