Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to perform physical examinations and manage patient care in line with physician guidelines. The role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to prepare comprehensive care plans, prescribe treatments, and engage in patient education, all while maintaining high standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Perform physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess clinical problems and health care needs.
- Formulate plans and prognosis based on patient conditions and collaborate on patient care plans with physicians and other health professionals.
- Prescribe or recommend treatments and refer patients for specialized care as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and satisfaction, respond to emergency situations, and ensure proper medication administration.
- Delegate tasks within scope-of-practice and manage patient flow.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-year experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care with SOLO experience.
- Current Physician Assistant License and certification from NCCPA for PAs, or Current State Nursing License and NP Certificate for NPs.
- Current DEA Certificate with California address.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Schedule / Shift
- 12-hour shifts from 9 AM to 9 PM, 3 days a week for full-time and 1-2 days a week for part-time.
- Full-time employees must work either Saturday or Sunday of each week.
- Part-time employees must work either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
- Weekends work is required for both roles, with a minimum of 4 shifts per month.
