Job Summary

Our client is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant who will be responsible for supporting physicians by documenting all medical assessments accurately and swiftly. The role includes managing insurance verifications, maintaining ICD-10 and CPT coding integrity, and facilitating smooth clinic operations by adjusting schedules. Additionally, the assistant will provide procedural support by preparing exam rooms and ensuring effective patient communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Transcribe all physician discourse during medical assessments, ensuring precision in documentation.
• Manage insurance verifications and schedule adjustments.
• Provide procedural support by preparing exam rooms and monitoring patient communication.
• Execute ophthalmic technician tasks and coordinate with front-desk personnel for follow-up care and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• At least 6 months of experience in a medical office, preferably an ophthalmology office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Scribe certification preferred.
