Job Description
Medix is currently seeking an experienced X-Ray Technologist for a travel assignment with one of our premier clinical partners in Wisconsin. At Medix, we specialize in connecting high-caliber clinicians with top-tier healthcare facilities nationwide. In this role, you will act as a key member of the clinical team, utilizing advanced digital imaging technology to provide critical diagnostic support in a fast-paced orthopedic and trauma environment.

- Start Date: February 26, 2026
- Length of Assignment: 13 Weeks (Totaling 520 Hours)
- Schedule: Five 8-hour shifts (Monday – Friday), scheduled between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. (40 hours per week)
- State License Needed: Wisconsin State Radiography License

Responsibilities
- Imaging Operations: Operate three general X-ray rooms utilizing Carestream equipment, including standard upright wall units, tables, and overhead tubes.
- Clinical Workflow: Manage a high volume of exams, ranging from 50 to 80 scans per day, ensuring accuracy in patient identification and imaging protocols.
- Ortho & Trauma Support: Assist in bi-weekly trauma clinics involving complex polytraumas. Focus areas include hip, knee, and shoulder scans, with approximately 25% pediatric patients (infant through 18 years).
- Patient Care & Safety: Facilitate safe patient transfers, including the use of Hoyer lifts, spin discs, and sit-to-stand aids. Collaborative lifting protocols (2–3 person teams) are strictly followed for patient and clinician safety.
- System Integration: Navigate Electronic Medical Records (EMR) through Greenway Intergy and manage images via Philips Carestream PACS.
- Administrative Support: Assist with film tracking for outside records and background data entry as required to ensure continuity of care.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certification: ARRT (R) certification is required.
- Licensure: Active Wisconsin State Radiography License is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in an Orthopedic setting is strongly preferred.
- Technical: Proficiency with digital radiography and PACS systems.
Preferred Skills
- BLS: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
