Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Physician for their Urgent Care facility. This position requires providing comprehensive medical care to patients with acute illnesses and injuries. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, efficiency, and a commitment to delivering excellent patient experiences. Collaboration with advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff is essential.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with urgent, non-life-threatening conditions.
- Perform medical procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, fracture management, abscess drainage, and wound care.
- Interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory results.
- Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine.
- Collaborate with medical assistants, nurses, and advanced practice providers to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Accurately and timely document patient encounters in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Provide patient education and discharge instructions with a focus on quality and safety.
- Comply with all state, federal, and organizational regulations and clinical protocols.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in Urgent Care or higher setting as a Physician.
Skills
- Board Certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or ABEM Board Eligible.
- Current Medical License, DEA Certificate with California address, and Board Certificate required.
Schedule / Shift
Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts from 9a-9p, 3 days per week for full-time.
- Full-time employees must work either Saturday or Sunday each week.
- 1-2 days per week for part-time, must work either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
- 6-hour shifts on weekends, with a minimum requirement of 4 shifts per month.
