Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team. The primary responsibilities include providing direct support to healthcare providers, conducting patient tests and reviews, engaging in rooming, vitals, and phlebotomy tasks, and performing administrative duties such as handling referrals and medication refills.
Key Responsibilities
- 1-1 support with providers when staffing allows.
- Performing beginning of shift spot checks, including temperature checks in freezers and daily testing.
- Rooming patients and taking vitals.
- Conducting phlebotomy, including lab work, urine samples, urine dips, vaccines, and lab draws.
- Admin tasks such as following up on referrals, handling refill requests, and managing medication refills.
- Managing patient volume of 20-35 patients daily.
Qualifications
- CMA (Certified with Washington Department of Health).
- BLS certification.
- Phlebotomy Experience.
- Recent EMR experience.
- Athena experience is preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience required.
- Daily phlebotomy tasks preferred.
Skills
- Technical skills in recent EMR and Athena (preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Schedule/Shift
- Clinic Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm; Saturday half-day 8am-1pm.
- Flexible shifts within these hours; start time may vary between 8-10am.
- Possibility of one Saturday per month; can be discussed individually.
- Training process includes virtual onboarding, clinic shadowing, and ramp-up period over 3-4 weeks.
