Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Surgical Coordinator Assistant responsible for obtaining medical clearances, managing abnormal lab results, coordinating post-operative appointments, monitoring and responding to messages, and supporting the team as needed to ensure efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Request and track all required medical clearances for upcoming surgical cases.
- Follow up with physician offices to ensure timely receipt of completed clearances.
- Fax abnormal lab results to the appropriate doctor’s office and confirm receipt of all faxed documentation, following up until provider feedback or clearance is obtained.
- Schedule all required post-op appointments in alignment with surgeon protocols, ensuring patients receive accurate appointment information and addressing any scheduling conflicts.
- Regularly check and respond to incoming messages from Teams, phone, email, and EMR inboxes, or route messages to the appropriate team member or provider.
- Assist the team when colleagues are out sick, on leave, or overloaded, providing cross-coverage for scheduling, patient calls, or documentation tasks as needed.

- Previous medical office experience adaptable to administrative duties.
- Excellent attention to detail.

- Preferred: Experience in surgical scheduling.

Required Employment / Compliance Language
- Hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a total of 40 hours per week.
