Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Compounding Pharmacy Technician responsible for preparing non-sterile compounds, maintaining compounding equipment, and ensuring compliance with USP guidelines. The primary goal is to support pharmacy operations, enhance organizational reputation, and ensure the accurate and timely preparation of all compounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the compounding room, compounding ONLY.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to keep equipment operating by following operating instructions.
- Demonstrate ability to perform non-sterile compounding per strict USP 795/800 guidelines.
- Perform in-process product quality checks and accurately document results.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and properly use, calibrate, and maintain equipment.
- Operate, clean, and sterilize aseptic compounding equipment and areas.
- Train other staff and ensure all calculations on compounding log sheets are accurate.
- Follow all SOPs, USP, and other safety policies by recording compounding procedures, lot, and expiry of ingredients.
Qualifications
- Pharmacy tech license, if certified.
- Interest in staying in compounding long-term.
Skills
- Professionalism with compounding experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt with change.
Additional Requirements
The position is scheduled for Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a one-hour lunch break.
