Job Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated Liaison to address patient inquiries and coordinate diagnostics and care. The role involves technical guidance, coordination of physician-ordered diagnostics, prescription lifecycle management, and maintaining Electronic Health Records (EHR). Additionally, this position involves providing support as an ophthalmic technician and processing specialized administrative documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Address patient inquiries regarding symptoms, treatment protocols, and medications via telephone.
• Coordinate physician-ordered diagnostics, including insurance pre-authorizations and results communication.
• Manage the prescription lifecycle through electronic and manual platforms.
• Facilitate outgoing referrals and maintain the integrity of Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Provide support as an ophthalmic technician during clinic hours.
• Process specialized administrative documentation such as FMLA and Worker’s Compensation paperwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.

Experience

• 1+ years of experience in a front office or back office role.
• Experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Medical Assistant preferred.

Skills

• Knowledge of eye anatomy, testing, and disease terminology.
• Strong data entry skills.
• Medical Assistant certification preferred.
• Bilingual in English or Spanish preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
