Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant responsible for preparing examination rooms for patient visits, escorting patients, assisting physicians during exams, and performing a variety of administrative tasks. The goal is to ensure efficient patient flow and maintain high standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare examination rooms, including cleaning, sterilizing, and stocking supplies.
- Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital information, such as vital signs, health history, and symptoms.
- Assist physicians or APN during exams and procedures.
- Perform Point of Care testing and administer intramuscular and Sub Q injections.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and handle referrals and prior authorizations.
- Update and maintain EPIC, and coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and imaging.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Some MA experience.
- Problem solving and clinical experience.
- Ability to administer injections and perform EKGs.
- Manual blood pressure skills and injection training.
- Positive attitude.
- Preferred: EPIC experience.
Experience
- Some MA experience required.

- Clinical skills including administering injections and performing EKGs.
- Technical proficiency with EPIC (preferred).

Additional Requirements
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 7:30pm; Saturday, 8:00am to 1:30pm.
