Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant who will provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care. This role involves direct patient interaction, assisting with examinations and procedures, collecting vital signs and specimens, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting day-to-day clinical operations in compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
- Prepare and clean exam rooms; sterilize instruments per infection-control guidelines
- Perform specimen collection (blood, urine, swabs) and point-of-care testing
- Administer injections and medications as directed (per scope and licensure)
- Provide patient education on treatments, medications, and follow-up care
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality at all times
- Schedule appointments, manage referrals, and coordinate follow-up visits
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
- Verify insurance information and assist with patient intake and registration
- Respond to patient inquiries via phone, portal, or in person
- Support medical records management and HIPAA compliance
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies

Additional Requirements
Flexibility needed to work 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM-5:30 PM Monday-Friday (no weekends)
Experience
- Medical Assistant experience preferred but open to new grad MAs
