Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Associate to support in managing obstetrical patient information and health records. The primary responsibilities include completing birth certificate worksheets, processing health information requests, and engaging with various requestors for effective information management.
Key Responsibilities
- Interview obstetrical patients to complete the worksheets for the necessary information on the birth certificate.
- Examine the medical records of mother and baby to accurately complete the health section of the certificate through paper and electronic record.
- Provide patients with verification of birth as requested for financial assistance or other legitimate purposes, as well as flag all adoption recordings according to policy.
- Process health information requests in compliance with state and general disclosure laws, ensuring timely and accurate release of documentation.
- Engage daily with various requestors, such as patients, payors, and physician offices, to manage information requests effectively.

- Ability to walk around the hospital, as the position requires visiting different patient rooms
Additional Requirements
Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with ongoing schedules including weekend coverage (Tue–Sat or Sun–Thu). Training will occur Monday through Friday.
