Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to manage the medical department objectives and personnel. The primary focus includes conducting medical department audits, providing vacation and absence coverage, ensuring compliance with Federal and State occupational medical requirements, and maintaining all appropriate licensures and certifications. The role also involves clinical occupational medicine practice, including diagnosis and treatment of injuries, managing disability and Workers Compensation, and leading preventative health activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage Medical Department Objectives and Personnel
- Implement and follow medical department policies and procedures
- Conduct medical department audits and participate in safety tours
- Clinical Occupational Medicine Practice
- Diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses
- Conduct medical surveillance and examinations
- Lead preventative occupational health activities
- Support Corporate Medical Initiatives including training and special projects
- Partner with the Business to provide health and medical support
- Promote Employee Health and Wellbeing through education and coaching
Qualifications
- Master of Science degree in Nursing or Doctor of Nursing Practice degree required
- Board certification is required
- Valid medical license in the State(s) of practice
- Preferred experience in Occupational Health, Urgent Care, and ER
Skills
- Proficient in conducting medical audits, documentation, and treatment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to lead health initiatives
Additional Requirements
1st shift hours roughly 7a-3:30p with variation starting at 6:30a on some days. Work schedule includes 4 days in Detroit and 1 day in Romulus.
