Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to perform comprehensive evaluations and implement tailored physical therapy treatments. The primary goal is to enhance the patient’s functional abilities through effective therapy techniques and collaboration with healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including medical history review, testing of strength, range of motion, balance, coordination, posture, muscle performance, and functional capacity.
- Analyze test data and medical records to formulate a patient-specific plan of care and set achievable, measurable short- and long-term goals.
- Administer physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, modalities, gait training, and neuromuscular re-education.
- Develop and instruct patients in customized Home Exercise Programs (HEPs).
- Continually assess the effects of treatment and adjust the plan of care as necessary, ensuring documentation of progress and outcomes.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant patient records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Select appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes correlating with the treatment administered for billing purposes.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.
- Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs), aides, and students.
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.
- Participate in continuing education to maintain licensure and stay current with best practices.
Qualifications
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- State Licensure - DC, MD, and VA all accepted.
- Active CPR certification.
Experience
- Prior experience using EMR system.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain patient relationships.

- Schedule: Mon-Fri: 8am-4:30pm.
