Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Medical Records Representative responsible for managing the retrieval, organization, and distribution of confidential medical records. The role requires acting as the primary contact for legal entities and handling extensive professional correspondence regarding patient records and documentation requests.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the retrieval, organization, and distribution of confidential medical records.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for legal entities, including law offices, regarding patient records and documentation requests.
• Handle extensive professional correspondence via phone, email, and fax with external offices.
• Process and manage documentation related to liens and substantial information accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure all medical record releases and documentation processes comply with state and federal regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Collaborate closely with the billing department to ensure timely and complete documentation is available for claim submissions.
• Maintain clear and organized documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Actively participate as a member of a small, collaborative team, assisting colleagues as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience working in a medical records or similar administrative capacity, ideally within a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and general knowledge of the front-end medical billing process.
• High school diploma or GED.

Additional Requirements

Monday–Friday (Standard shifts include 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM, or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Initial training may require an 8:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule).
