Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Medical Receptionist responsible for supporting the mission and objectives of the physician practice. The position involves greeting patients, managing appointments, verifying insurance, and ensuring smooth office operations while supporting HIPAA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
- Maintains compliance with the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and Confidentiality Agreement.
- Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program through knowledge of compliance responsibilities as outlined in the Code of Conduct.
- Manages front desk operations including greeting patients, answering phones, and handling appointments.
- Verifies patient demographics and insurance during check-in.
- Assists with patient check-out and scheduling referrals.
- Processes charge entry and manages patient balances.
- Informs patients about office policies and procedures.
- Enrolls patients in the patient portal and explains its features.
- Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bilingual (Spanish).
- 2+ years of Medical Front Desk experience.
- Experience in Insurance Verification and Prior Authorizations.
- Ability to collect co-pays and handle related tasks.
- HS Diploma/GED required.
- 1+ years of additional experience preferred.
Skills
- Fluency in Spanish.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in managing front desk operations in a medical environment.
Additional Requirements
- Standard work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
