Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Inventory Control Specialist responsible for ensuring accurate inventory management through meticulous adherence to company procedures. The role involves handling various tasks associated with inventory control, including shipment prioritization, material handling, and utilizing inventory software within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete reading, writing, and simple mathematical calculations necessary for inventory processes.
- Adhere to all inventory procedures with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Receive and apply hazardous chemical training.
- Cross-train in all inventory control-related jobs.
- Make informed decisions regarding inventory adjustments and shipment priorities.
- Effective operation in a high-intensity, multitasking environment with occasional outdoor exposure.
- Manage shipments via Federal Express and other carriers.
- Utilize computer systems within a Windows environment.
- Implement proper material handling techniques.
Skills
- Physical ability to handle up to 40lbs independently and 100lbs with assistance, including frequent actions such as lifting, bending, and reaching overhead throughout the day.
- Capability to correctly operate materials handling equipment safely upon training.
- Technical proficiency in Excel and Word for creating reports.
- Preferred experience using electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
Schedule/Shift
Monday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
