Job Summary

Our client is seeking a diligent Medical Billing Representative. The primary responsibilities include managing and following up on claims such as group health, workers comp, personal injuries, Medicare/Medicaid, among others. The role involves direct interactions with payers, patients, and occasionally attorneys, to efficiently close patient account cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on claims related to group health, workers comp, personal injuries, Medicare/Medicaid.
• Communicate with payers and patients to collect on open claims and conclude the patient account cycle.
• Enter charges, mail paper claims, and track claim statuses.
• Draft and create appeal letters from scratch.
• Engage in hands-on training conducted by the practice manager and representatives on-site.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.
• 1-2 years of experience in Collections, Billing, Payment Posting, Charge Entry, and Claims handling.
• Proficiency in computer usage and letter drafting for appeals.
• Knowledge of Medical Insurance, Workers Compensation, Government, and Commercial claims.

Skills

• Familiarity with internal billing software, Dr. Krono, is beneficial but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively in a bilingual environment.
