Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
About the Role:
seeking a Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to support Illinois-specific regulatory compliance and fulfillment-related responsibilities. This role focuses on ensuring the pharmacy’s activities that fall under Illinois jurisdiction meet all applicable state requirements. The PIC will provide oversight of IL compliance needs, support fulfillment operations, and help maintain safe, efficient, and compliant workflows.
Type: Part-Time (Roughly 8 hours per week)
Location: Remote (Must be physically present at the Utah facility 8 hours a week)
Shift: Preferred days are Mondays and Fridays (highest volume), or Wednesdays
Pay: $62.00 - $70.00/hr
Key Responsibilities:

Illinois Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: Ensure compliance with all requirements of the Illinois Board of Pharmacy and state pharmacy regulations.

Maintain Illinois-related licenses, recordkeeping, policies, and documentation.

Serve as the primary contact for Illinois compliance inquiries or inspections.

Update IL-specific SOPs and ensure team awareness of Illinois nuances and regulatory obligations.

Fulfillment & Operational Support: Participate in the pharmacy’s overall fulfillment workflow as needed, including review and verification.

Ensure fulfillment processes adhere to Illinois-specific rules for prescription processing, labeling, patient counseling requirements, and record retention.

Support operational accuracy, efficiency, and compliance within the scope of IL and UT law.

Clinical & Patient Care: Review prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, safety, and compliance with Illinois requirements.

Provide patient counseling or clinical support when aligned with IL rules.

Team Collaboration & Oversight: Serve as a resource to staff for Illinois regulatory questions and requirements.

Quality & Compliance Monitoring: Participate in QA reviews related to Illinois operations.

Assist in internal audits and corrective actions specific to IL requirements.
Qualifications:

Experience: 1-2 years of pharmacist experience; PIC or supervisory experience beneficial but not required.

Experience in mail-order, fulfillment, telepharmacy, or similar preferred.

Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (BSPharm).

Technical Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Knowledge/Licensure: Active, unrestricted pharmacist licenses in Illinois and Utah.

Strong understanding of Illinois pharmacy law and operational requirements.
