Job Summary
Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join their team, supporting a pod of providers in Family and Internal Medicine. The primary goal is to provide patient care and assist in clinical tasks, including vaccinations, while maintaining a flexible schedule and ensuring high-quality service across a wide range of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide support to a "pod" of providers, covering for call-outs when necessary.
- Perform vaccinations and other clinical tasks.
- Maintain flexibility in daily workflow to accommodate busy days, particularly on Fridays, with flexible days off on Mondays and Wednesdays when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant in the Department of Health (DOH).
- Willingness or ability to perform vaccinations.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in Family Practice or administering vaccines is preferred.
Skills
- Proficiency in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, particularly Epic.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
Additional Requirements
- Successful completion of compliance screenings (background, drug screening, health screens) is required for orientation.
- Orientation includes a virtual morning session followed by an in-person meeting.
- Specialized system, skills, and "hip-to-hip" mentoring provided.
- New graduates receive extended personalized training and support.
