Job Summary
The Laboratory Technician, also known as a Cleanroom Lab Technician, is responsible for preparing samples for analysis using stereomicroscopy and specialized microanalytical techniques. Working as part of a team, the technician will perform small particle analysis and materials characterization. Additionally, the role involves providing support for laboratory operations such as equipment maintenance, reagent preparation, and inventory management. The technician must ensure that laboratories, equipment, and supplies meet the scientific and business needs of our client.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and characterize samples using specialized techniques and tools within a cleanroom environment.
- Adhere to procedures for special sample preparation as per client protocols, ensuring safety and security.
- Stock laboratory supplies and maintain equipment and instruments per established procedures and standards.
- Collaborate with procurement specialists to order laboratory and cleanroom supplies.
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping and maintenance duties.
- Maintain professionalism and effective communication with clients and colleagues.
- Advise management on potential improvements in laboratory efficiency and operations.
- Comply with applicable quality management systems, client, and regulatory requirements, suggesting improvements where necessary.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or related field.
- Minimum one year of laboratory environment experience preferred.
- Experience in an FDA regulated/GMP and/or ISO environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other software programs.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently, and experience with record keeping.
