Title: Patient Services Coordinator (PSC)
Summary:
We’re hiring a Patient Services Coordinator to join a high-volume specialty clinic known for its exceptional patient experience and strong team culture. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys interacting with patients of all ages, and brings professionalism, warmth, and energy to every interaction. The PSC will support front-desk operations for the busiest clinic location and work alongside a collaborative team of 10–11 coordinators.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Welcome patients and visitors with a positive and friendly demeanor.

Manage patient check-ins, including collecting IDs, verifying demographics, and confirming insurance.

Conduct pre-registration and review charts to ensure all required information is complete prior to appointments.

Review online faxes and update patient records in the EMR system.

Process patient payments, including copays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.

Schedule patient appointments, follow-ups, and outside referrals accurately and efficiently.

Assist with incoming calls regarding appointments, questions, cancellations, confirmations, and referral updates.

Support daily patient flow—typically 100–120 patients/day, with 15–20 handled individually at check-in.

Maintain confidentiality and uphold patient rights at all times.

Prepare daily batches for accounting, balancing payments and charge tickets.

Scan and update demographic and insurance documentation into the patient chart.

Assist with obtaining precertifications for tests and scans when needed.

Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure smooth, efficient patient care.

Qualifications:
Must-Haves:

Minimum 1 year of medical office or healthcare front-desk experience.

Experience working with any EMR system.

High School Diploma or GED.

Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable interacting with patients from pediatrics to elderly.
Nice to Have:

Experience with scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, or patient collections.
