Job Summary
Our client is seeking an Electropolisher/Passivation Tech who, under moderate supervision, will perform electropolishing and passivation of formed metal products. The role involves delivering high-quality electropolishing and passivation services efficiently, conducting in-process inspections, pre-cleaning, racking/unracking, rinsing, and trafficking parts between departments. The position is in a fast-paced Electropolishing/Passivation Job Shop, reporting to the First Shift Production Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow documented procedures for daily production work.
- Ensure processes for electropolishing and passivation adhere to quality and safety standards.
- Identify non-conforming products using visual and dimensional inspection criteria.
- Communicate quality and quantity issues swiftly to supervisors or co-workers.
- Manually pre-clean parts and document in-process inspection results.
- Monitor equipment to ensure proper functioning and recommend maintenance or repair when needed.
- Transport in-process work between departments and maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend written job instructions in English.
- Accurate documentation of processing notes.
- Effective communication skills in a fast-paced production environment.
- Capability to lift 40 lbs. regularly and safely, climb stairs, reach and twist as needed.
- Proficiency in using hand carts, moving material, and fully loaded pallet jacks.
- Ability to remain on feet throughout the workday.
- Preferred skills include: use of micrometer, microscope, gages, and other QC tools; reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in electropolishing, plating, or metal finishing is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
