Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform medical, clerical, and reception duties within the Department of Family Medicine. The role involves assisting physicians in the examination and treatment of patients, managing patient appointments and insurance information through the EPIC system, and ensuring smooth office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform medical, clerical, and reception duties.
- Assist physicians in patient examinations and treatments.
- Check patients in through the EPIC system; verify and update demographics and insurance information.
- Schedule patient appointments and verify insurance benefits and precertifications using the EPIC system.
- Prepare patients for visits by taking medical history, chief complaint, weight, blood pressure, and pulse.
- Document patient information in the EMR system and assist with patient care.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms and patient charts; manage medical and office supply inventory.
- Maintain and clean medical equipment and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Handle patient calls, incoming, and outgoing mail and perform light typing as needed.
- Open and close the office and maintain a neat and orderly office appearance.
- Understand and comply with company compliance standards, including Corporate Compliance, Code of Conduct, and Conflict of Interest policies.
