Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Medical Assistant for openings in two locations, responsible for supporting both Obstetrics (OB) and Pediatrics (Peds) units. The primary focus of this role is geared towards OB, involving case management, prenatal education, and patient scheduling. Additionally, the role includes assisting with drawing blood, submitting referral requests, and providing support to pediatric providers.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
- Support both Obstetrics (OB) and Pediatrics (Peds) units.
- Manage case management and prenatal education as a CPS worker.
- Schedule phone calls and link patients to additional resources throughout pregnancy and postpartum.
- Assist with drawing blood and submitting referral requests.
- Recall Peds patients for specific appointments and schedule newborns with the pediatrician.
- Perform standard Medical Assistant (MA) responsibilities.
Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
- Medical Assistant (MA) diploma required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Schedule / Shift
Two openings available in two locations with the same requirements for both positions.
