Nurse Practitioner – Street Medicine & Clinic Care

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm or 7:30am–4:00pm

Position Overview

A compassionate and adaptable Nurse Practitioner is needed to provide both street-based medical care and clinic-based services to underserved populations in Los Angeles. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support individuals experiencing homelessness while working alongside an experienced team, including a lead street clinician and hands-on training support.

The ideal candidate is comfortable practicing autonomously, thrives in dynamic environments, and is open to a balanced schedule between street outreach and clinic care.

• • Perform basic primary care services, including diagnosing common illnesses.

  • Prescribe medications such as hypertension and diabetes treatments, as well as HIV and Hepatitis C therapies (training provided).

  • Conduct vital signs, routine assessments, and basic clinical evaluations.

  • Provide suturing when needed.

  • Deliver care in both street medicine outreach settings and a traditional clinic setting.

  • Collaborate with the lead street clinician and receive ongoing training from an on-site PA.

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) in the state of California or Physician Assistant (PA-C)

  • DEA certificate required.

  • Street medicine experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided.

  • Bilingual skills not required.

  • Must be comfortable working half-time in the field and half-time in the clinic.
