Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Team Representative to join the Member Experience team. The primary role involves answering customer service inquiries and resolving issues related to benefits, eligibility, and claims. The position requires handling both phone and email/chat communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the Member Experience team to relieve administrative burdens for members.
- Answer basic customer service questions and provide information on benefits and eligibility.
- Handle calls and email/chat queries, dividing the day between these tasks.
- Interact with both members and providers, utilizing a CS program called Zendesk.
- Maintain metrics of calls per day and call times.
- Complete a two-week training program covering insurance basics, regulatory plans, and issue escalation processes.
Qualifications
- Approx. 3 years of insurance customer service experience.
- High-level understanding of claims and experience with EOB and eligibility.
- Excellent phone and written communication skills.
Experience
- Approximately 3 years of true insurance customer service experience, preferably with a healthcare TPA or health plan background.
- Strong understanding of eligibility, benefits explanation, and claims, with a comfort in explaining these to members.
Skills
- Proficiency with Zendesk.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Friendly, patient, and professional demeanor.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to work 40 hours per week with flexibility in schedule.
- Flexibility to work with time zones, as the team services clients across different coasts.
- Laptop provided by the company.
